Information
Accra
Beach Hotel and Resort is centrally located on the beautiful South Coast of
Barbados. This elegant Hotel sits on one of the island's most spectacular
beaches - a sun-kissed stretch of soft, white sand that is home to the gentle
waves of the Caribbean Sea. The hotel has just recently reopened following an
extensive rebuilding.
A beachfront hotel with creative architectural flair and elegance, this tropical
setting is both aesthetically pleasing and a joy to visit. The large pool has
its own shallow bank for lounging, as well as a hidden cave, hot tub and tanning
amphitheatre, just a short distance from the Grantley Adams International
Airport and the picturesque capital city of Bridgetown.
Poolside drinks are available at the Lagoon Bar and the Fig Tree Snack Bar
offers light gourmet meals. Accra Beach Resort has a fully equipped gym, one
squash court and an open-air dance floor. They are also affiliated with the
Barbados Golf Club for all you golf enthusiasts. Listen to cool jazz in the
air-conditioned Sand Bar, enjoy a sumptuous dinner overlooking the beach in the
Coco Patch Restaurant or dine in artsy elegance in the Wytukai Restaurant, which
happens to be the only Polynesian Restaurant on the Island.
Hotel Accommodations & Information
The
2005 meeting of the BIE and NYSAEC will be held at the Accra Beach Hotel,
Barbados. Your conference
coordinators have blocked rooms for arrival on January 29 to February 2, 2005.
A lesser amount of rooms have been reserved for early arrival and late
departure. To make these
arrangements, please reserve as early as possible, as all special arrangements
are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Daily Room Rates
All
guest rooms are $167.00 per night tax included.
Note:
These rates are all European Plan which includes no
meals.
Hotel Deposits & Payments
A
One Night deposit per room is required at the time of registration.
Your credit card must be used for this deposit.
The balance of hotel charges will be paid by each individual upon
checkout.
Hotel
Cancellation Policy
Complete
refund of room deposit will be given if cancellation is made seven (7) days or
more prior to the arrival date.

Planning & Airfare
As
a courtesy to BIE members,discount airfares with U.S. Airways is being offered

To obtain a 10% discount off of the best available airfare, tickets must
be purchased at least sixty (60) days prior to departure.
A 5% discount is also available from Plaza Travel with airfare
reservations less than 60 days prior to departure.
